iTalk2 is a simple communicator that offers the ability to store and play two different messages. It can, for example, be a choice between two activities, two stories, answers "YES" and "NO" and the like.
It consists of two large, brightly colored buttons with a diameter of 6.4 cm, which should be pressed to listen to messages or record new material. It is easy to use and easy to carry.
In the set with the device, you will receive button covers in four different colors, so you can change them as you wish. Images with drawn signs or printed messages for visual support can be placed on them and fixed using transparent covers . On the back of the device, there is a practical drawer for saving images for buttons. There is also a record button, indicator light, volume adjustment and sockets for external connections.
Recording and playback of messages
Two messages can be recorded on the device. Up to 2 minutes of recorded material can be stored .
To record, press and hold the record button until the indicator light comes on. A light on indicates that it is recording. Hold the big button while you say the message, and release it when you're done. Repeat the same procedure for the other button. Pressing the recording button once more will exit the recording. Make sure that you are close enough to the device while speaking the message so that the recorded sound is clear. To listen to recorded messages, simply press the corresponding large colored button.
Sockets for external switches
The iTalk2 device also has two sockets for external switches or connecting toys. So you can use the device to control toys or other connected devices. The possibility of connecting external switches makes it even easier to use.
Batteries and accessories
The iTalk2 communicator works with a 9V alkaline battery. We recommend alkaline batteries, because with other types there could be minor malfunctions due to inadequate energy distribution. The battery in the device can last for several weeks. The weight of the device with the battery is 354g.
iTalk2 can be fixed on a suitable stand, and a belt to which it can be attached or a shoulder strap can be ordered with the device.
